Middle to Late August

TRUMPET VINE, sporadic WISTERIA blooms and HONEYSUCKLE are still in bloom covering the canopy of the Flowering Gazebo. As the MORNING GLORY foliage grow up the posts on their way for flower production, ROSES and CLEMATIS are still sending out beautiful flowers.

HOSTA are in full flower around the MOUNTAIN ASH as it is also starting it's beautiful display of orange seed clusters. Hosta are also around the Sycamore Tree from which the swing is hung, making them an extra pretty additive to your photos on the swing.

Flowerbeds are filled with GERANIUMS, ROSES, GERANIUMS, early ASTERS, CAMPANULA, MINIATURE DAISIES, VERONICA, GAURA are starting, LOBELIA, and CONTINUAL SUMMER-LONG BLOOMING ANNUALS such as PETUNIA and SALVIA.

MOON FLOWER plants and vines are beginning a good bloom.

Large plate-sized PERENNIAL HIBISCUS steal the show in various flowerbeds where they are planted.

These flowers are throughout the Island, in various beds, not just around the Flowering Gazebo. ** DAHLIA** start blooming all month long, some open before others but what a beautiful and large display they add.

The ROSE-OF-SHARON HIBISCUS is beautiful with it's daily lavender flowers.

My two SEVEN SONS FLOWER TREES, to the left side of the Island, begin their beautiful white flowers which turn to even more beautiful dark pink sepals around the tiny seeds.
